Unreal Engine Course in Malaysia: What You Learn in 2, 3 or 5 Days

Unreal Engine is no longer just for games. Architects use it for walkthroughs, filmmakers for virtual production, and car brands for product launches. If you are thinking about learning it, the first question is usually: how long does it take, and what will I actually be able to do?

Here is exactly what you learn in each of our Unreal Engine 5 programs at EFXCO Academy in Cyberjaya.

Who teaches it

EFXCO Academy is an Unreal Authorized Training Center. Every class is taught by Unreal Authorized Instructors, led by Hussin Khan, a Gold-level Unreal Authorized Instructor, former Head of Education at Rhythm & Hues Studios and author of the Unreal Engine 5 VFX Cookbook. Teams from Sony PlayStation, Lemon Sky, GAMUDA and European Golf Design have trained with us.

2 days: Essentials

The fastest way to go from zero to a finished scene. You learn to:

• Find your way around the Unreal Engine 5 editor
• Build a scene with Megascans and your own assets
• Light it with Lumen and real-world materials
• Set up cameras and shots in Sequencer
• Render final frames with Movie Render Queue

Best for: designers, marketers and managers who want to understand what Unreal can do.

3 days: Interactive

Everything in Essentials, plus:

• Blueprints, so your scene reacts when people walk through it
• Niagara visual effects: fire, smoke and sparks
• A complete interactive walkthrough you can share

Best for: architects, property developers and anyone building presentations clients can explore.

5 days: Complete, beginner to advanced

Everything in Interactive, plus:

• Chaos destruction and cloth simulation
• Advanced cinematics and the basics of virtual production
• Optimising scenes for real projects
• A portfolio-ready final project, reviewed by your instructor

Best for: anyone who wants to use Unreal Engine professionally. This is our most chosen program.

Do I need experience?

No. Every program starts from the editor basics. We provide high-end workstations, so you do not need your own computer, and breakfast and lunch are included every day.

How much does it cost?

Programs start from RM3,100 per participant, with SST included. All programs are HRD Corp claimable, and we prepare the quotation and course documents for your grant application. Private classes for your team are available at our studio or your office.
